About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong focus on managerial accounting and internal financial processes. This role is designed for a proactive professional who can provide strategic financial insights, support decision-making, and drive efficiency across financial operations.

This is not a bookkeeping or tax compliance role; instead, we are looking for someone with a command of accounting principles who can offer advisory input and improve financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will work independently while maintaining strong communication with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and improve managerial accounting processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Develop financial models and reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Assist with internal financial controls, ensuring compliance with best practices.
• Provide advisory support to leadership on financial planning, risks, and operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between financial strategies and business objectives.
• Monitor cash flow and work on financial projections.
• Implement and optimize accounting systems and software.
• Work asynchronously while ensuring quick responses during EST business hours for key discussions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in managerial accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, cost analysis, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Proficiency in Excel and other financial modeling tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide strategic financial insights.
• Experience in a fast-paced, remote work environment is a plus.
• Must be located in South Africa or Egypt with the ability to overlap with EST hours.
