This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an AI Automations Engineer in Singapore.
This role offers the chance to drive innovation by building AI-enabled automation workflows and full-stack features that directly impact real-world operations. You will work on a mature cloud-based SaaS platform that processes high-volume transactions across multiple continents, contributing to both backend architecture and AI-assisted development. The position involves close collaboration with product, operations, and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into production-ready functionality. This is a high-ownership role, ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy solving ambiguous technical problems, and want to shape the future of automation at scale. The role allows you to integrate AI into daily development workflows, experiment with intelligent features, and influence product direction across multiple systems. You will be part of a senior, experienced team focused on speed, quality, and operational excellence.

Accountabilities:

  • Build, maintain, and optimize full-stack product features from concept through production deployment.
  • Design and implement backend systems, APIs, and data models that support billing, payments, field service, and operational workflows.
  • Integrate AI tools such as Claude Code to accelerate development, refactor code, and explore intelligent automation solutions.
  • Own backend architecture, including databases, authentication, third-party integrations, and background processing systems, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with product and operations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions that meet real-world needs.
  • Participate in frontend and UI decisions when needed, contributing to the overall user experience.
  • Debug complex system issues, optimize processes, and document solutions to support maintainable, production-ready systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
  • 4+ years of professional experience building full-stack products in production environments.
  • Strong backend engineering expertise, with comfort working across the full stack.
  • Hands-on experience using Claude Code in a professional development workflow.
  • Solid understanding of system design, APIs, and data modeling.
  • Ability to handle light design/UX tasks and make practical decisions in complex environments.
  • Self-directed, pragmatic, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced team.
  • Nice to have: experience building AI-enabled features, familiarity with SaaS platforms in utility or payments, startup experience, modern frontend frameworks, and end-to-end feature ownership.
