We are seeking a commercially driven sales and business development professional with proven experience across the chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, packaging, and related sectors. With a strong background in value-based selling and client retention, I excel at understanding complex client needs and translating them into tailored, results-focused solutions.

 

Required skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in sales or business development within chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, packaging, or related sectors
  • Background in consultancy or experience working for a competitor is highly desirable
  • Strong capability in needs analysis, value-based selling, and client retention
  • Able to quickly assimilate technical knowledge and communicate complex expertise clearly and confidently
  • Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles
  • Self-motivated, commercially driven, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment

 

 

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY 

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the UK. This role will play a key part in identifying, developing, and converting new client opportunities while building long-term, strategic relationships across multiple industries.

 

Key activities:

  • Identify, approach, and convert new business opportunities across target sectors
  • Manage complex, consultative sales cycles from initial engagement through to contract close
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships across the UK
  • Drive renewals and upselling opportunities through strategic account management
  • Work closely with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure credible, value-based solutions for clients
  • Contribute to sustainable and stable revenue growth in a fast-paced, competitive environment
  • Conducting in-person visits and engaging in cold calls to cultivate and sustain relationships
  • Collaboration with colleagues across various business areas to maximise sales opportunities
  • Administer in the company's CRM system and other systems linked to the responsibility
