This role offers an exciting opportunity to support and enhance the annual marketing strategic planning process in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You will translate partner priorities into actionable plans, manage project documentation, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure successful execution. Working closely with internal teams, you will monitor resources, track project progress, and contribute to continuous improvements in planning processes and tools. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders. You will gain exposure to strategic marketing operations, project management systems, and collaborative planning processes while helping drive measurable impact for organizational goals.
Accountabilities
In this role, you will:
- Partner with the Director, Marketing Strategic Planning to translate Statements of Work (SOWs) and strategic priorities into actionable annual plans.
- Document planning processes, meeting notes, project builds, and ongoing updates to annual plans.
- Organize, facilitate, and lead planning meetings and presentations with cross-functional teams.
- Build and manage project plans in the project management system, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timelines.
- Monitor team capacity, resources, and project statuses to identify and address risks proactively.
- Develop playbooks, templates, and best practices to streamline the planning process year-over-year.
- Drive continuous improvement by incorporating feedback and optimizing tools and processes for efficiency.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:
- 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in marketing planning or project management; higher education industry experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage complex project data and processes.
- Experience using project management tools such as Wrike, Asana, or similar platforms.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-based environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets) and other collaboration tools.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace for remote meetings during core business hours (9am–5pm, flexible by time zone).
