NOTE: This position will be based out of our Houston, TX office location on a hybrid schedule.
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO), this position will be viewed as a critical liaison between NuScale’s legal department and other departments within the larger organization, including interactions with NuScale’s Board.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates correspondence with Board and committees, prepares and posts Board and committee books, takes minutes at meetings, tracks attendance and status of minutes and serves as Diligent site administrator.
- Assist with Section 16 filings and preparation of other reports filed with the SEC
- Works with other departments to coordinate legal and compliance matters.
- Ensures that documentation requests from outside counsel, courts, regulatory agencies and others are handled effectively and timely.
- Oversees secretary of state filings and applications across multiple jurisdictions.
- Responsible for maintaining and updated legal files and assisting with corporate document retention programs
- Responsible for expanding and maintaining existing corporate electronic databases software.
- Acts as liaison between company attorneys, outside counsel, organizations and management.
- Assists with corporate document retention programs and systems.
- Serve as EA for Chief Legal Officer, managing calendar, travel and expense reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
- Education: Minimum of Associate degree or experience as a Legal Secretary in excess of the minimum required. Notary Public Certificate preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of full-time working experience as a corporate paralegal or legal secretary, preferably in an energy, utility or EPC project environment, is required. Must have prior experience working at or with publicly traded companies. Must have demonstrated success with effectively working directly with attorneys as a corporate paralegal/legal secretary and demonstrated experience in supporting corporate governance and corporate secretary matters. Proficiency with Diligent, Workiva
- Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits:
The target pay range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 annually. The full pay range is $80,000 - $150,000 annually.
