Job Title: Data Modeler / Snowflake Data Engineer

The client is looking for a professional with strong experience in Snowflake, SQL, and Data Modeling. The candidate will design enterprise data models, build and optimize data pipelines, develop Snowflake objects, and support cloud-based data warehouse solutions. They should also have experience with ETL/ELT processes and working with both structured and semi-structured data.
Required Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in Data Modeling, Data Engineering, or Data Warehousing.
- Strong experience with enterprise data warehouse and cloud data platforms.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience using Snowflake (highly preferred).
- Solid understanding of data modeling techniques, including Dimensional Modeling, Data Vault Modeling, and Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
- Good knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts, cloud data platforms, and modern data warehouse practices.
- Experience working with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML, Parquet, Avro, etc.).
- Ability to document data models, technical specifications, and communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Exposure to modern data engineering tools such as dbt, Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, Matillion, or similar ETL/ELT tools.
- Experience with data warehouse modernization, governance, and performance optimization.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data models using industry best practices.
- Develop logical and physical data models utilizing Dimensional, Data Vault, and Medallion architecture methodologies.
- Build, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and Snowflake database objects.
- Design and support ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
- Work with structured and semi-structured datasets to support analytics and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and development teams to gather data requirements and implement scalable solutions.
- Document data models, mapping documents, technical specifications, and design artifacts.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, consistency, and adherence to enterprise data standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues while optimizing performance and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in cloud-based enterprise data warehouse environments.
- Strong understanding of modern data architecture and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative Agile environment.
