Description

This role is essential in supporting our critical infrastructure and providing excellent customer support for our products and offerings.  The DevOps Engineer I will also participate in the continuous growth and improvement of our internal processes using automation and exciting new technologies. In this role, you’ll work handson with AWSbased environments, help maintain reliable development and production systems, and contribute to improving how we build, deploy, and support our applications through automation and modern DevOps practices. This is an excellent opportunity for a technologist who is passionate about learning, enjoys problemsolving, and wants to grow their skills across cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational support in a fastpaced, customerfocused environment.
This role is based in our either our Holmdel, NJ location or our Jersey City, NJ location, which both offer a flexible hybrid work model.



Responsibilities
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, deliver and support development, staging, and production environments on AWS for both internal development and customer projects.                          
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assigned support tickets submitted by internal development teams and customers.      
  • Assist in security, infrastructure, and general IT rollouts and implementation efforts.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and best practices.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide off-hours support for internal development and to customers.      


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required. 
  • Basic understanding of Windows Administration, Linux Administration, and IIS Management.
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and general cloud computing concepts – EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, etc.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Demonstrated mastery of Development tools and methodologies, such as Firewall concepts, network connectivity, XML config files, Rest API calls, HTTP Headers and Response Codes.
  • Understanding of source control systems (Git basics).
  • Willingness to learn CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure automation.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, and provide occasional support outside of regular business hours
  • Must have passion for technology and a focus on automation. 
  • Must have excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • AWS Certification(s) are preferred.
