Core4ce is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to support secure deployment, automation, and operationalization of solutions for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Data Governance program. The ideal candidate will implement CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and monitoring capabilities, ensuring security is embedded throughout development and operational workflows while supporting fixed-price delivery objectives. 

 
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting application and integration delivery
  • Support platform configuration and deployment automation for repository and integration components
  • Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and operational dashboards
  • Support automation operationalization, including scheduling, retries, and health checks
  • Collaborate with Integration / Software Engineers on deployment and runtime support
  • Coordinate with the ISSO Engineer to ensure security controls, logging, and evidence requirements are met
  • Support release packaging, deployment readiness, and operational handoff
  • Participate in technical working sessions, design reviews, and milestone readiness activities

Required Qualifications: 

  • 6+ years of experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD, or platform engineering supporting Federal or classified IT environments;
  • Active clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Strong experience implementing and securing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and DevSecOps methodologies across the full SDLC
  • Hands-on expertise with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
  • Deep understanding of application and platform security, including secure coding practices, microservices and API security, IAM, network security, and container security
  • Experience with security automation, scanning, and monitoring tools (SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Nessus), automated security testing, vulnerability management, and incident response
  • Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA) and experience performing risk assessments, threat modeling, and compliance validation
  • Proficient in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell), version control (Git), and security orchestration tools
  • Proven ability to balance security requirements with operational needs while collaborating effectively with development, operations, and leadership teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent strongly preferred

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs
  • Must meet DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, SSCP, equivalent) 
  • Defense Health Agency (DHA) or health IT experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting enterprise data platforms, repositories, or automation pipelines
  • Familiarity with fixed-price, milestone-based Federal contracts
  • Experience supporting federated or enterprise data exchange environments
  • Familiarity with containerized platforms and cloud-native tooling
  • Exposure to health data systems, analytics platforms, or enterprise reporting environments
