Job Description

The Director, Culture, Engagement & Experience, is responsible for developing and shaping Apollo's culture and experience strategy to build a highly engaged, connected, and purpose-driven organization. This role will partner closely with executive leadership to define and continuously improve the team member experience across the entire employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to development, recognition, engagement, and career growth. The successful candidate will help bring Apollo's values, mission, and culture to life by creating meaningful programs and initiatives that strengthen engagement, foster a sense of belonging, and ensure team members are connected to the company's purpose and future. This role will serve as the steward of Apollo's culture by listening to team members, gathering actionable insights, and translating feedback into programs and initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience. As the function evolves, the role will also help align Apollo's internal culture with the experience delivered to clients and business partners, ensuring that Apollo's values are consistently reflected both internally and externally.

   

Key Responsibilities



Culture Strategy & Development

  • Develop and implement Apollo's culture strategy aligned with the company's mission, vision, values, and growth objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to define and strengthen Apollo's organizational culture.
  • Develop initiatives that promote Apollo's core values and reinforce desired behaviors across the organization.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on culture-related opportunities and challenges.

 

Team Member Experience & Engagement

  • Design and manage programs that improve engagement, connection, and overall team member experience.
  • Develop initiatives that create pride in Apollo and strengthen organizational commitment.
  • Evaluate and improve the employee experience throughout the team member lifecycle.
  • Foster an inclusive and highly engaged workplace environment.

Team Member Listening & Insights

  • Develop and administer employee surveys and feedback mechanisms.
  • Establish regular listening strategies to better understand team member sentiment and organizational needs.
  • Analyze feedback and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop action plans to address engagement opportunities and improve organizational effectiveness.

Team Member Journey

  • Map and evaluate the employee journey from recruitment through offboarding.
  • Identify opportunities to improve key moments that matter in the employee experience.
  • Partner with Human Resources and leadership to implement improvements across the employee lifecycle.

Recognition & Appreciation Programs

  • Design and manage meaningful recognition programs that celebrate individual and team achievements.
  • Develop initiatives that reinforce Apollo's culture and values through appreciation and recognition.
  • Create scalable programs suitable for Apollo's continued growth and global expansion.

Internal Communications

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies that keep team members informed, engaged, and connected.
  • Partner with leadership to communicate company priorities, achievements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent messaging that reflects Apollo's culture and values.

Customer Experience Alignment

  • Explore opportunities to align Apollo's internal culture with the experience delivered to clients and partners.
  • Develop programs and initiatives that reinforce Apollo's commitment to professionalism, integrity, excellence, and safety.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to identify cultural drivers that positively impact client satisfaction and business outcomes.

Talent Review & Organizational Development

  • Partner with Human Resources to develop a formal talent review process.
  • Establish frameworks for identifying high-potential talent and leadership development opportunities.
  • Support succession planning and organizational capability development.
  • Develop engagement and retention strategies for key talent.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing culture and engagement initiatives.
  • Experience working with executive leadership teams.
  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative employee feedback and translate insights into actionable programs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in organizational culture, employee experience, engagement, communications, or related leadership roles.


Preferred

  • Experience developing employee engagement or customer experience strategies.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams.
  • Professional certifications in employee experience, organizational development, or human resources are a plus.
  • Background in organizational development, talent management, or leadership development.
  • Experience in high-growth organizations.

  • Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS).
  • Team member satisfaction and experience metrics.

  • Internal communication effectiveness metrics.
  • Team member feedback and survey response rates.
  • Talent review and succession planning implementation.
  • Culture initiative adoption and impact.
  • Leadership participation in culture and engagement programs.
  • Customer experience and culture alignment initiatives.
