We’re looking for a technically strong Engineering Lead to guide, inspire, and empower a cross-functional squad. This is a hands-on role combining full-stack engineering expertise with delivery ownership. You’ll lead by example - shaping system architecture, reviewing code, and removing blockers to ensure smooth delivery of backend and frontend capabilities.
You’ll play a pivotal role in helping the team build scalable systems, drive technical excellence, and align engineering output with product outcomes. As the team continues to scale, the scope of this role will expand - creating clear opportunities to build and lead your own team. You’ll also have the chance to grow into senior leadership positions across the Development team with a progression path tailored to your strengths and ambitions.

- Drive continuous delivery practices, improving CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment tooling
- Monitor application performance, logging, and alerts to proactively resolve production issues
- Lead incident responses and root cause analysis to improve system resilience
System Stability & Scale
- Optimize backend queries, architecture, and infrastructure to ensure speed, reliability, and scalability
- Oversee critical components in AWS (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3) with an eye on cost, availability, and security
- Champion observability practices—ensuring that logs, metrics, and traces provide actionable insight into platform health
- Proven experience as a hands-on technical leader across backend and frontend systems
- Deep backend expertise in Grails, Spring Boot, or Python; familiarity with frontend technologies is a bonus
- Strong command of architectural principles, system design, and production operations
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex features end-to-end
