The Financial Accountant II role is a key position that drives financial precision and strategic insights across the organization. This role manages month-end close activities, including journal entries and account analyses, while conducting trend and variance analyses to provide actionable insights. This position demands technical excellence, attention to detail, and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of GAAP and understanding of internal controls.
- Participate in the month-end close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare quarter-end and year-end audit schedules.
- Conduct detailed account analyses, identifying trends and resolving outliers.
- Analyze period-over-period and year-over-year trends and variances.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and participate in management projects.
- Add value through analytical insights and continuous process improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with internal customers and management.
- Develop technical skills for process improvements.
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
- Communicate clearly and accurately with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration with Accounting concentration, or related fields with an accounting certification.
- 2-5 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; Workday knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in a multi-unit environment is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- This role is primarily office-based and must be in commutable distance to Scottsdale, Arizona 85255.
