JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly experienced Fractional CFO to lead and manage all accounting and
financial functions for assigned clients. This contract role involves strategic financial leadership,
oversight of reporting and compliance, and hands-on management of financial operations. The
ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, providing insights on financial strategy, cash flow,
and system improvements, while ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. The Fractional
CFO will work closely with client leadership on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, manage external financial
relationships, and oversee audits, tax filings, and special financial projects. This role also includes
evaluating internal controls, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory
requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, A/P and A/R aging reports, payroll tax filings, W-2/W-3, 1099s, sales and use tax, personal property tax, business licenses, income tax returns, and other regulatory filings.
  • Manage relationships with banks and external financial partners to support client financial health and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews and analyses of financial systems and internal controls to ensure compliance, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
  • Provide expert oversight and strategic input on cash flow management, forecasting, and liquidity planning.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual financial statement audit process, ensuring readiness, accuracy, and timely completion.
  • Lead special financial projects, including the development of financial projections, profitability analyses, cash management models, internal control assessments, and tax planning strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scalability, strengthen internal controls, and optimize operational efficiency across client organizations.
  • Maintain detailed daily tracking of hours by client and project, ensuring accurate reporting and accountability for assigned engagements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five (5) + years of CFO experience with a strong background in financial systems and operational oversight.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO), including setup, chart of accounts structuring, an system optimization.
  • Expertise in managing and analyzing:
    • Vendor and customer lists
    • Bank feeds and rules
    • Transaction classification and journal entries
    • Bank reconciliations and period closings
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within a flexible 15-hour weekly schedule.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a remote environment with cross-functional teams.
