We are seeking a strategic and creative Fractional Chief Marketing Officer / Chief Content Officer (CMO/CCO) to define and execute the marketing, brand, and content strategy for an innovative retail platform expanding into international markets.
In this role, you will lead the development of a scalable marketing engine that drives brand awareness, audience growth, and platform adoption. You will oversee brand storytelling, content strategy, and marketing initiatives designed to attract emerging brands, strategic partners, and consumers to the platform.
This position sits at the intersection of brand strategy, digital growth, and revenue enablement, requiring both strategic leadership and hands-on execution. You will work closely with executive leadership to ensure marketing initiatives directly support brand acquisition, partnership development, and retail performance across locations.
This engagement is fractional and project-based (Q2–Q4 2026), with the potential to transition into a long-term founding leadership role as the organization scales globally.
Develop and execute the overall marketing and brand strategy, positioning the platform as a leading destination for emerging brands in physical retail
Build a scalable marketing framework that supports expansion into new cities and international markets
Develop B2B acquisition channels designed to attract direct-to-consumer brands and strategic partners
Lead the content strategy across social media, editorial platforms, and retail channels, establishing a distinctive brand voice
Drive audience growth and engagement, targeting strong community expansion across digital platforms
Support marketing initiatives for flagship retail launches, retail activations, and brand collaborations
Establish and track marketing KPIs, including acquisition performance, audience engagement, and brand growth
Collaborate with leadership to ensure marketing initiatives directly support revenue growth and partnership acquisition
Build and optimize marketing systems and processes that can scale with international expansion
5–10+ years of experience in marketing leadership, brand strategy, or content leadership roles
Experience scaling marketing for consumer platforms, marketplaces, or direct-to-consumer ecosystems
Strong expertise in brand storytelling, digital marketing, and audience growth strategies
Experience developing marketing systems that support revenue growth and partnership acquisition
Strong editorial instincts and ability to shape a distinctive brand voice
Ability to operate in both strategic and hands-on execution roles
Comfortable building marketing infrastructure from the ground up in early-stage environments
Professional fluency in English
Experience working within retail, consumer brands, or experiential retail environments
Background in content-driven brand growth or community-led marketing
Experience supporting major brand campaigns or large-scale marketing initiatives
Familiarity with marketing analytics tools and growth platforms
German or French language skills are a plus
