Position Overview
SENTRYSIX International, LLC is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Fractional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide strategic technology leadership and oversight across the organization. This executive will guide the development, implementation, and management of technology systems that support security operations, remote monitoring, government contracting, and enterprise growth.
The Fractional CTO will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, ensuring that technology infrastructure is secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with the company’s mission to support public safety and national security operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned technology executive who can deliver high-level technical strategy and leadership on a part-time or project-based basis.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Technology Leadership
- Develop and execute the company’s technology strategy aligned with operational and growth objectives
- Advise executive leadership on emerging technologies, cybersecurity risks, and digital transformation initiatives
- Establish technology standards, policies, and governance frameworks
- Ensure technology investments support operational efficiency, scalability, and mission readiness
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology to enhance service delivery and competitive positioning
Cybersecurity & Information Security
- Oversee cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and incident response planning
- Ensure protection of sensitive operational, client, and government-related information
- Implement and maintain secure systems, networks, and data protection protocols
- Guide compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
- Support security assessments, audits, and risk mitigation strategies
Technology Infrastructure & Operations
- Provide oversight of IT systems, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise technology platforms
- Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of technology systems supporting field and remote operations
- Support integration of technology across multiple operational locations and projects
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and platforms
- Provide technical leadership during system upgrades, deployments, or expansions
Government Contracting & Compliance Support
- Support technology compliance requirements associated with federal, state, and local government contracts
- Ensure technology systems align with applicable security and data protection standards
- Assist with technical documentation, system readiness, and compliance requirements
- Provide guidance related to secure communications and operational technology environments
- Support technology readiness for audits and regulatory reviews
Innovation & Growth
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and service delivery
- Support expansion into new markets or service offerings through technology enablement
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that support long-term organizational growth
- Provide technical due diligence support for partnerships, contracts, or acquisitions
- Foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive technology leadership experience
- Prior experience serving as a Chief Technology Officer, IT Director, or senior technology executive
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise technology infrastructure and systems
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional certifications such as:
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certifications
- Experience supporting government contractors, security firms, or public safety organizations
- Familiarity with secure communications, remote monitoring systems, and surveillance technologies
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, and enterprise system integration
- Experience building scalable technology environments for growing organizations
Work Schedule
This is a fractional executive role, typically requiring:
- Approximately 10–25 hours per month (flexible based on organizational needs)
- Availability for executive meetings and strategic planning sessions
- Periodic availability during technology initiatives, system implementations, or operational events
Compensation
- Competitive fractional / consulting compensation based on experience and scope of services
