We are seeking a Head of Platform Engineering to lead the evolution of engineering platforms, developer productivity, and production reliability at a global scale.
This strategic leadership role combines platform engineering, SRE practices, and AI-assisted software development to transform how engineering teams build and deliver software.
You will define the standards, tools, and processes that enable hundreds of engineers to move faster while maintaining quality, security, and operational excellence.

Accountabilities:
- Own the strategy and execution of the internal developer platform (IDP), including standardized service templates, CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling, feature flag infrastructure, progressive delivery, and automated rollback capabilities.
- Build and maintain scalable “paved roads” that enable engineering teams to deliver software faster, safer, and with greater consistency.
- Lead Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including observability standards, incident management maturity, production readiness reviews, on-call improvements, and reliability engineering initiatives.
- Establish and improve operational standards for mission-critical production systems, ensuring availability, resilience, and fast recovery from incidents.
- Define and execute the strategy for AI-assisted engineering adoption, including developer workflows, AI coding tools, internal platforms, evaluation practices, and responsible usage guidelines.
- Drive the evolution of AI-powered development capabilities by integrating advanced tools, improving prompts and context management, and ensuring AI-generated code follows engineering standards.
- Partner with engineering leadership and principal engineers to establish standards for architecture consistency, testing, code reviews, deployments, and AI usage.
- Lead organizational adoption programs, including enablement initiatives, communication plans, engineering champions, migration strategies, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Measure the impact of platform initiatives through meaningful engineering metrics, including DORA metrics, reliability indicators, platform adoption, AI-assisted productivity, and quality improvements.
- Influence engineering culture by promoting automation, operational excellence, reliability, and continuous innovation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading Platform Engineering, SRE, or combined engineering functions at significant scale, supporting large engineering organizations and production systems with high business impact.
- Experience working with complex, mission-critical, or regulated environments such as fintech, payments, financial services, or similar industries is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of modern software delivery practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, deployment strategies, observability, reliability engineering, and developer experience.
- Ability to balance engineering velocity with production stability, quality, and operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of engineering productivity frameworks, including DORA metrics and their application in modern AI-assisted development environments.
- Experience implementing large-scale engineering transformations, such as platform migrations, reliability programs, development workflow improvements, or AI adoption initiatives.
- Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, agentic coding platforms, or similar technologies.
- Experience evaluating, deploying, or building AI-powered developer tools and understanding the importance of context, standards, governance, and measurement.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence engineers, technical leaders, and executives.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
- Experience reducing engineering failure rates while improving delivery speed, supported by measurable results, is a plus.
- Experience with internal AI coding platforms, prompt engineering, context systems, agentic workflows, or AI-generated code evaluation frameworks is a plus.
- Public contributions or thought leadership in platform engineering, reliability, or responsible AI adoption are a plus.
