This role offers an opportunity to take ownership of core people operations within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. You will play a key role in supporting employees across the full HR lifecycle, from onboarding to performance management and payroll administration. The position combines operational HR execution with employee relations, compliance, and culture-building initiatives. Accountabilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal and external standards
- Support employee relations activities, including conflict resolution, performance management, and workplace issue handling
- Maintain, update, and organize HR documentation such as policies, contracts, and employee records
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure smooth hiring and integration of new employees
- Track employee performance data and contribute to HR reporting, KPIs, and workforce insights
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and internal HR policies
- Support initiatives aimed at strengthening company culture and employee engagement
- Assist leadership in day-to-day HR operations and people management needs
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or HR Generalist roles
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, HR operations, and employee relations practices
- Experience in education, EdTech, or consulting environments is highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional language skills such as Cantonese or Mandarin are a plus
- Familiarity with HR or CRM tools (e.g., Go High Level or similar platforms) is an advantage
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on execution and results
- Good understanding of basic employment law and HR compliance principles
