The COBOL, IMS and DB2 (Mainframe Developer) will support large, high-volume, enterprise-class applications.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mainframe Developer to join our IT team. This position will be full-time, remote, and is a permanent hire position.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform analysis, design, programming, testing, and implementation for new and existing business application software on Mainframe systems using COBOL, IMS, DB2, and JCL

  • Provide production support for Mainframe environments

  • Develop system interfaces and generate reports

  • Test, code, and debug programs based on internal design specifications

  • Support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)

  • Review, analyze, and modify existing programming systems, including coding, debugging, testing, and implementation


What You’ll Need
Required:

  • Ability to work at a broad technical level across all phases of the application systems project life cycle

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to apply both business knowledge and technical expertise to systems development

  • 10+ years of experience with COBOL, IMS DB, DB2, JCL

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$80,000 - $100,000 per year

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
