We partner with Federal agencies to enhance and modernize systems and infrastructure, strengthen cybersecurity, and execute complex programs that improve outcomes for the people government serves.

We are looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper (Unanet Experience Required) to become a long-term member of our team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, values flexibility, and prefers a predictable monthly workload over a full-time schedule. The role generally requires only a few hours each month, with most work centered around month-end close and maintaining accurate financial records.

Position details

• Part-Time (1099)
• Fully Remote; however, you must live in the United States (no exceptions)
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required (no exceptions)
• Flexible schedule
• Approximately 5-10 hours per month (may vary slightly based on monthly activity)
• Long-term position

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly accounting close activities
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare and record journal entries as needed
• Review employee timesheets and labor allocations for accuracy
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
• Ensure financial records remain accurate, organized, and audit-ready
• Support year-end accounting activities
• Work closely with company leadership regarding accounting questions and financial reporting

Required Qualifications

• Three or more years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Recent experience using Unanet ERP
• Experience supporting a government contractor
• Working knowledge of DCAA-compliant accounting practices
• Strong understanding of month-end close procedures
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High level of integrity and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting an 8(a) or small business government contractor
• Experience preparing information for outside CPA firms
• Experience supporting DCAA or other government audits
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Hourly Rate

$45/hour

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the hourly rate listed above represents the good-faith compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise with Unanet and government contractor accounting.
