PowerBI Developer

Analytica is seeking a Junior Power BI Developer to support a dynamic federal government project. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, governance, and enablement. This role focuses on supporting the Power BI environment deployment, helping enforce governance standards, training users, and troubleshooting dashboard and data issues. The qualified candidate will assist in managing workspaces, monitoring licenses, ensuring compliance with approved governance model, and providing end-user support. Additionally, the role will help prepare for future migrations, build enablement resources, and assist with coordination across teams to support Power BI adoption.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to): 

• Assist in the migration of existing dashboards to Power BI, ensuring accuracy and alignment with governance standards 
• Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models based on stakeholder requirements 
• Troubleshoot Power BI performance and data connectivity issues 
• Support implementation of Power BI governance framework, including workspace organization, app management, and approved publishing processes 
• Monitor license usage, storage capacity, and performance metrics to ensure a stable and optimized environment 
• Provide training, documentation, and hands-on workshops to help users adopt best practices  
• Respond to user inquiries related to dashboard usage, publishing workflows, permissions, and data connectivity 
• Collaborate with stakeholders, leadership, and Microsoft representatives as needed  

Basic Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field 
• 1+ year of hands-on experience developing dashboards, reports, and semantic models in Power BI  
• Familiarity with Power BI workspace management, deployment pipelines, and development lifecycle  
• Experience connecting reports to data sources, optimizing performance, and transforming data through Power Query  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to support diverse user group 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Power BI certification preferred  
• Experience supporting BI migrations or cross-platform integrations  
• Knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), or data modeling concepts  
• Familiarity with SQL, data pipelines, or enterprise BI governance practices
