Project Controller

About the Role

As Project Controller, you play a key role in supporting the planning, delivery, and governance of construction and group projects across Global Switch. The role ensures that project schedules, costs, documentation, and reporting are accurately maintained and aligned with programme objectives.

Working closely with internal teams, consultants, and contractors, the Project Controller provides reliable data, insight, and coordination to enable informed decision‑making and effective project execution. A strong focus on precision, stakeholder alignment, and proactive issue identification is essential to maintaining high standards of project performance and supporting the timely and successful delivery of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules to support the effective planning and delivery of construction and group projects.

• Coordinate inputs from project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure schedules are accurate, realistic, and aligned with project objectives.

• Track progress against key milestones, proactively highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.

• Support the preparation, management, and monitoring of project budgets, including cost forecasting, accruals, and financial reporting.

• Produce high‑quality project reports, dashboards, and presentations to support internal governance, decision‑making, and stakeholder communication.

• Maintain organised, up‑to‑date project documentation, ensuring compliance with internal standards, audit requirements, and best practice.

• Assist in preparing documents for reviews, tender evaluations, change controls, and handover processes.

• Facilitate information flow across stakeholder groups, ensuring clarity of requirements, responsibilities, and deadlines.

You’re an analytical, detail‑oriented project professional who excels at bringing structure, accuracy, and clarity to complex programmes. With strong skills in scheduling, cost control, reporting, and documentation, you ensure that projects are delivered with discipline and visibility at every stage. You thrive in collaborative environments—coordinating seamlessly with internal teams, consultants, and contractors—and you’re confident using data to highlight risks, support decision‑making, and keep delivery on track. Proactive, organised, and reliable, you take pride in maintaining high governance standards and supporting successful project outcomes through precision and effective communication.


Key Requirements:

• Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support informed decision‑making.

• Able to anticipate issues and propose practical solutions within a fast‑paced project environment.

• Competent in the use of project planning and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and familiar with project control methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• Able to work within structured project frameworks, supporting governance and reporting requirements.

• Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail during periods of high activity.

• Working knowledge of building planning, design stages, procurement processes, construction delivery, and project handover procedures.
