Job Summary
This role requires weekly visits to one hospital every week, and candidates must reside within 1 hour of Rome, Calhoun, or Chatsworth, Georgia areas for onsite visits to facilities. Ideally, the client is looking for someone with healthcare recruiting knowledge who truly enjoys sourcing — an agency recruiting background could be a great fit. The focus is specifically on recruiting for high-volume roles, requiring strong communication and listening skills, as well as being highly organized and a critical thinker, since this individual will be partnering closely with nursing leaders across all three Georgia hospitals. The role is remote, but the contractor must reside within the market — preferably within a one-to-two hour drive of the facilities, near Rome, GA. The current team has 6 recruiters (3 in North Carolina, 3 in Georgia), and this opening was driven by a new Chief Nursing Officer implementing new nurse-to-patient ratios, which nearly doubled the number of openings for nursing and nursing tech positions (from 60–70 to approximately 130). Equipment (computer and peripherals) will be shipped to the new hire's home.
Key Responsibilities
- Partners with hiring managers to develop staffing needs by reviewing regular attrition rates, new business plans, and potential retirements.
- Develops strategies to acquire talent to ensure vacancies are kept to facility-specified levels, new and expanding programs are staffed for opening dates, and retirement replacement plans are executed.

- Develops knowledge of benefit plans, incentives, and corporate and facility policies, addressing applicant inquiries.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of candidate progress in the applicant tracking system.
- Builds strong partnerships with hiring managers, adapting approach and being willing to visit departments.
- Moves candidates quickly to avoid losing them to other offers (historical goal: 5–7 days from application to hiring manager review).
- Expected to hire approximately 13–15 candidates per month (with 15–20 expected in the high-volume tech space).
- Other duties as assigned.
