About the role…
Reporting to our Accounting Manager of the Finance team, the Sr. Accountant will be responsible for actively contributing to the growth and development of the Finance team, and the establishment, creation and implementation of new processes, procedures and internal control initiatives. This exciting role will provide you with hands-on experience and exposure to all aspects of the strategic accounting function, as well as the ability to develop technical and managerial skill sets. Upon successful mastery of job responsibilities, core competencies, and cross training, this role is intended to provide an exciting career track within the department, as well as continued professional development in the areas of Accounting and Finance.
A typical day will include...
Own key components of the monthly close across multiple legal entities, managing complex P&L expense accounts — including payroll, software expense, contractor costs, commissions, and royalties — ensuring timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting
Prepare and review complex journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations (accrued wages, accrued taxes, sales tax, accrued expenses) with a strong emphasis on variance analysis — identifying what changed, why it changed, and how to correct it
Partner directly with FP&A and business leaders to own expense trend analysis, support forecasting, and deliver actionable financial insights that inform decision-making
Manage accounting activity across multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate intercompany activity, proper allocation, and consolidated reporting
Assist in the year-end audit by preparing supporting schedules, responding to auditor requests, and contributing to technical accounting documentation
Contribute to the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of internal controls, financial processes, and close workflows
This role is a fit for you if...
You have at least 1 year of experience in a Senior Accountant role with demonstrated ownership of complex P&L expense accounts and balance sheet reconciliations — not just participation
You have 3+ years of total accounting/finance experience (Public Accounting experience strongly preferred)
You are comfortable owning variance analysis end-to-end — finding discrepancies, explaining the story behind the numbers, and driving resolution
You have experience working across multiple entities or subsidiaries and have partnered cross-functionally with FP&A or business partners
You have strong working knowledge of accounting standards, are detail oriented, with outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent (CPA certification is a plus)
