Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior FileMaker Developer to join the Information Technology team of our growing medical devices business. This role requires in-depth understanding of FileMaker applications and a strong background in software development, as well as technical expertise in FileMaker integrations with data warehouses, ERP, CRM, and other corporate systems that support business needs.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Core Development & Architecture:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable FileMaker solutions that support various business functions
- Architect and implement integrations between FileMaker and ERP/CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365) using APIs, OData, and other relevant technologies
- Analyze, normalize, and transform structured and unstructured data within FileMaker systems to ensure data quality standards
- Develop custom FileMaker application solutions for specific business use cases
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical insights
- Deliver solutions that align with business objectives and technical standards
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure applications comply with industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FDA)
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for audit and validation purposes
- Implement and maintain data integrity standards across integrated systems
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with data integrity standards of integrated SQL databases, ERP, CRM, and billing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Brightree, NikoHealth)
User Enablement:
- Provide technical training and guidance to end-users
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement enhancements based on business needs
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years in FileMaker development, including experience with FileMaker Server and WebDirect
- Proficiency in FileMaker scripting, calculations, layouts, and custom functions; experience with RESTful APIs and data integration techniques
- Demonstrated experience integrating FileMaker with ERP and CRM systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Understanding of compliance requirements in the medical industry, including HIPAA and FDA regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the medical device or healthcare industry
- FileMaker certification
- Familiarity with FileMaker hosting on AWS or similar cloud infrastructure
- Knowledge of SQL Server, Azure services and Power BI
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Project management experience
