Job Description

The Senior Retail CS Consultant is a senior individual contributor alongside a talented NIQ’s Regional Retail Customer Success HQ team.  

This role partners with the headquarters of a strategic global retailer, acting as a trusted advisor who connects business questions to data-driven answers. You will lead the insight agenda, bring customer behaviour analytics to life, and ensure consistent cross-country coordination.  

Another component of the role includes shadow service to support the scaling of customer analytics (CPS) capabilities. 

This role can be performed either fully remotely or in a hybrid working model based in Nuremberg or Frankfurt.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the primary Customer Success partner for a strategic retailer HQ, building trusted senior‑level relationships. 
  • Lead the insight narrative: translate business priorities into analytical briefs and deliver compelling recommendations. 
  • Apply deep customer analytics expertise and collaborate with analytics, product, RMS, CPS, and in‑country CS teams to deliver consistent value. 
  • Ensure cross‑country alignment with light coordination processes.  
  • Engage confidently with senior and C‑suite stakeholders, delivering executive‑ready materials. 
  • Identify commercial leads to strengthen and develop the partnership 
  • Contribute to scaling CPS capabilities via limited shadow service and best‑practice sharing. 

 

Profile – Required 

  • Fuent German, with excellent English. 
  • Strong experience in customer analytics, loyalty card data, shopper insights, or customer behaviour analysis. 
  • Solid FMCG expertise and understanding of retailer/manufacturer dynamics. 
  • Proven ability to work with senior and C‑suite stakeholders. 
  • Experience operating across multiple countries and teams. 
  • High analytical literacy (EPOS, RMS, Panel, loyalty, CPS‑like datasets). 
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to lead without direct authority.  
  • A willingness to challenge client hypotheses and bring a new perspective combined with a positive and creative attitude to problem-solving, both externally and within NIQ 

 

Profile – Nice to Have 

  • Familiarity with NIQ RMS, CPS, CAS, Discover. 
  • Experience with CRM, loyalty programs, retailer HQ environments.
