ServiceNow Developer

We have an opportunity for a ServiceNow Developer to join our IT Applications/ServiceNow Platform team in Mexico, reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will design, build, and optimize user‑facing digital experiences on the ServiceNow platform. Collaborating closely the cross‑functional IT teams, you will create front‑end experiences that elevate usability, performance, and employee satisfaction.

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do 

  • Develop user‑facing portals and digital experiences on the ServiceNow platform
  • Build UI Pages, widgets, layouts, and Angular‑based components for Service Portal
  • Create and enforce visual, usability, and accessibility standards across portal experiences
  • Collaborate closely with the Business, UX, and Platform teams to translate business needs into intuitive front‑end solutions
  • Optimize portal performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and user experience
  • Enhance and manage the full lifecycle of portal components, including upgrades and iterative improvements
  • Integrate ServiceNow front‑end elements with enterprise systems via REST/SOAP, scripted APIs, and MID Server
  • Design modern forms, workflows, and guided experiences leveraging ServiceNow UI capabilities
  • Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices for ServiceNow development
  • Support intake processes, requirement gathering, and technical design reviews

Be Prepared — What You Bring 

  • 4 plus years of hands‑on experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, and platform customization
  • Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular/Jelly
  • Experience building and maintaining Service Portal, enterprise UI components, and user‑facing web applications
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design
  • Platform knowledge across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CMDB, Knowledge Management, Now Assist
  • Advanced UI capabilities in widgets, themes, pages, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Catalog UI policies, Variable Sets
  • Proficiency with scripting: JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow using REST/SOAP, Scripted REST APIs, MID Server
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate effectively
  • BS degree or equivalent experience

First 90 Days: Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short/long term goals. 

Six Months: 

  • Lead enhancements to one or more Service Portal experiences
  • Implement updated UX standards across selected UI components
  • Partner with the platform team to redesign a high‑impact portal or form experience
  • Establish coding best practices for ServiceNow UI development

One Year: 

  • Own the roadmap for a major ServiceNow front‑end capability
  • Deliver new Service Portal or Next Experience implementations
  • Mentor peer developers and contribute to platform governance
  • Improve portal performance, reliability, and user satisfaction
