Sitecore Lead Developer

We currently have a career opportunity for a Lead Sitecore Consultant to join our team.  While the majority of our team is located in Atlanta, this position can be located anywhere within the continental US.

A Lead Consultant is expected to be knowledgeable in two or more technologies within modern Sitecore development stack. The Lead Consultant  must have a programming background, as well as expert in Sitecore infrastructure architecture, presentation / demo efforts and team management skills.

You will provide best-fit technical solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solutions, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs.

You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative, high quality solutions. You will also contribute in a variety of roles in mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains.

• Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture. Provide solutions / designs to project execution teams for implementation.
• Provide assessments, code reviews, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains.
• Lead projects within specific and designated work streams. Work with Product Owner/Delivery Lead/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to solution, design, develop, test, and release features. 
• Project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
• Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new solution approaches.
• Support Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through continuous delivery to production.
• Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
• Mentor and provide guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions.
• Engage with technical staff to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs.

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience with Sitecore products and most recently, several headless (SitecoreAI, XM Cloud) production delivered and successful projects.
• At least 2 Sitecore project implementations that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimize) of the back-end and front-end technologies: React, Next.js, PowerShell and Sitecore – is a MUST.
• At least 3 years of experience in a professional services company, consulting firm, or agency
• Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design/architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.  
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.  
• A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected.
• Experience in project and workstream estimation and team structure definition.
• Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
• Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
• Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
• Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.
• Experience working on multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Be independent and self-driven.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• High and proven knowledge in following areas:
  • Sitecore CMS
  • Next.js Framework
  • .Net Framework & C# Programming Language
  • JavaScript
  • Scripting languages - PowerShell
  • Source Control - GIT
• Proven knowledge and practical experience:
  • DevOps operations: Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Azure Cloud / GitHub
  • Vercel / Netlify
• Desirable knowledge:    
  • NodeJS
  • Production usage of AI Tools
  • Basics of SASS / CSS
  • Azure Functions
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.  
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.  
• A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected  
• Must be open to travel.
• Preferred skills and education: 
   
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Certifications in Sitecore products (mainly SitecoreAI or XM Cloud)
• Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices
• Track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes
• Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams
• Experience working with AI tools and identifying opportunities for using AI to "supplement" project development efforts. 

Preferred skills and education:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Certifications in Sitecore products
• Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $73,008.00 to $170,640.00.
