Role Purpose:

Serve as the primary licensing, compliance, optimization, governance, SaaS management, and audit readiness resource. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Software Compliance Management 
  • Develop and maintain Effective License Positions (ELPs). 
  • Conduct software compliance assessments. 
  • Identify software compliance risks and exposures. 
  • Support audit readiness activities. 
  • Support publisher audit responses. 
  • Recommend remediation activities. 

 

Publisher Licensing Analysis

  • Required Publisher Experience
  • General Business 
  • Microsoft 
  • Adobe 

 

Preferred Publisher Experience 

  • Oracle 
  • IBM 
  • VMware/Broadcom 
  • Red Hat

  • Contract interpretation

Contract and Entitlement Management 

  • Validate software entitlements. 
  • Maintain entitlement records. 
  • Support contract interpretation activities. 
  • Support software renewal planning. 
  • Support publisher true-up activities. 
  • Validate software purchase records. 
  • Support optimization initiatives through entitlement analysis. 

 

Software Optimization 

  • Software utilization analysis. 
  • License optimization reviews. 
  • Reclamation initiatives. 

 

General Business 

  • Rationalization opportunities. 
  • Contract optimization recommendations. 
  • Cost avoidance analysis. 
  • Renewal planning support. 

 

SaaS Management and Optimization 

  • SaaS utilization reviews. 
  • Subscription optimization reviews. 
  • SaaS reclamation initiatives. 
  • Duplicate solution analysis. 
  • Contract renewal planning support. 
  • SaaS governance recommendations. 
  • SaaS cost optimization reporting. 

 

Publisher Risk Management 

  • Conduct publisher risk assessments. 
  • Identify compliance exposure. 
  • Assess audit risk. 
  • Recommend mitigation activities. 
  • Support remediation initiatives. 

 

Software Governance 

  • Software request reviews. 
  • Licensing impact assessments. 
  • Governance process support. 
  • Mergers and acquisitions software assessments. 
  • Software lifecycle governance activities. 
  • Executive Reporting 
  • Compliance reporting. 

 

General Business 

  • Optimization reporting. 
  • Risk reporting. 
  • KPI reporting. 
  • Executive presentation development. 

Details:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum five (5) years of enterprise Software Asset Management experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience developing Effective License Positions. 
  • Experience supporting software compliance reviews and audits. 
  • Experience interpreting software licensing agreements. 
  • Experience using Flexera One or FlexNet Manager. 
  • Experience with SaaS optimization. 
  • Experience supporting contract and entitlement management activities.
  • Strong Microsoft licensing expertise including:  
    1. Windows Server 
    2. SQL Server 
    3. Software Assurance 
    4. Virtualization licensing 
    5. Subscription licensing models
