Location: Americas - North, Central and South America

Zapier has long been the preferred automation platform for individual creators and small teams. Our current focus is to unlock the vast potential within Enterprise customers—organizations comprising dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of employees. These companies already recognize the value of automation; we are now empowering them to implement it at scale, ensuring control, visibility, and confidence in their chosen tools.

Our mission is to make automation work for everyone—and now, that includes some of the world’s biggest companies.

Zapier is expanding its Enterprise zone and seeking several highly motivated and qualified Senior Engineers. We are looking for experts passionate about delivering new value to customers and driving innovation in workflow management, and changing the future of automation use and expansion in the largest companies in industry, to join our high-impact teams.

We’re currently hiring for four key teams:

  • Enterprise Experience

  • Enterprise Response

  • Identity Platform

  • Asset Management

The Enterprise Experience team is tasked with pioneering new approaches rather than simply refining existing ones. Our foundational projects include:

  • Developing the first user flows specifically for enterprise administrators and builders.

  • Establishing a central hub for Account Admins to oversee and manage their accounts.

  • Empowering Account Admins with expanded data insights and controls across all current and future product teams.

  • Significantly improving the rest of our product's frontend to exceed current industry standards for enterprise-grade software.

  • Creating essential features like:

    • Hierarchical account management

    • Cross-organizational visibility into usage and assets

    • User management, provisioning, and role assignments

The Enterprise Response team is crucial for maintaining the resilience and reliability of our systems, particularly during critical periods, mostly for our largest customers. This team innovates in high-demand customer areas and delivers highly requested core features that span multiple teams and organizational boundaries. This team touches every part of the stack and plays a critical role in ensuring our biggest customers get fast, dependable service.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead responses to critical incidents and customer-impacting events

  • Work directly with enterprise customers

  • Collaborate across engineering, product, and support to solve urgent problems

  • Build internal tools and improve core product features based on real-world, customer feedback

  • Build a new extensible platform for account and organization-level settings, applying declarative controls, VPC connections to on-prem data, and instrumenting account-wide AI guardrail controls

The Identity Platform team is a mission-critical team at Zapier, building the core Identity Platform that powers secure user authentication, user provisioning, and role management across our entire product suite. As the backbone of access and permissions for millions of users, they design intuitive, API-first solutions that enable enterprise customers to facilitate their account members and ensure the right level of access.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Develop and integrate platforms that enable effortless user provisioning and management via SAML/SCIM.

  • Enhance our existing platform to offer more refined access permissions.

  • Provide Account Administrators with the tools to manage roles, ensuring precise control over account ownership and security.

  • Facilitate the adoption and effective use of the identity platform by all internal teams for user authentication and management.

The Asset Management team is responsible for building and scaling the systems that make every Zapier asset, across products and workspaces, discoverable, governable, and portable. You will be responsible for architecting and deepening enterprise-grade Platform APIs to manage assets across multiple products, ensuring consistency, reliability, and performance at scale for all of our customers.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Design and implement scalable backend architecture and APIs for asset cataloguing, ownership, and security

  • Build intuitive, unified interfaces for organizing, transferring, and governing assets across accounts and products

  • Embed AI technology into core product experiences to proactively monitor and suggest optimizations to account management

  • Drive technical alignment with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization

  • Deliver fast-paced solutions and POCs, prioritizing impact over deep polish, while balancing short-term execution with long-term technical vision

  • Tackle challenges in data standards, compliance automation, and cross-product integrations

This team is central to Zapier’s multi-product strategy, unlocking faster product onboarding, reducing manual support burden, and delivering key enterprise capabilities.

These roles are instrumental in unlocking the full potential of Enterprise admins and builders across Zapier’s product and will directly drive higher sales of our premium plans in the near future. This is a high impact, high reward role that will include far reaching features, new challenges, and close connection to customers each day.

🚀 High Visibility, High Impact

If you’re someone who thrives on ambitious goals and meaningful work, this is the team for you:

  • Work on high-impact features that directly influence premium plan sales and help close strategic enterprise deals.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Revenue, Support, and GTM teams.

  • Work in a high-visibility area with strong leadership support and a clear growth path for engineers.

  • Play a key role in Zapier’s growth trajectory—you’re not a cog in a machine, you’re part of the engine.

🔍 About You

We’re looking for experienced and motivated engineers who bring:

  • 6+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years at a senior level.

  • At least 4 years dedicated to building and refining web-based software products.

  • You are passionate about understanding customer needs, creating innovative solutions, designing for future extensibility, and collaborating closely with product and design.

  • Strong backend skills, with experience ideally in Python, Django, Node.js, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS. Familiarity with tools like GitLab, Kubernetes, and Terraform is a plus.

  • For our Full Stack roles - we are looking for Full Stack comfort—you’re primarily a backend expert but can contribute to frontend work (React).

  • Experience with event-driven systems and platform thinking. You’ve built scalable tools that help other teams move faster and simpler. You’re familiar with systems like Kafka, SQS, and Fastify, and you’ve worked with observability tools like Datadog, Grafana, and Graylog

  • You’ve used AI tooling for work or personal use—or you are willing to dive in and learn fast. You explore new tools, workflows, and ideas to make things more efficient, and are eager to deepen your understanding of AI and use it regularly.
