We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our rapidly growing team. Ria Health, recognized as the leading national telehealth provider specializing in alcohol use disorder (AUD) treatment, recently raised $18 million in Series A led by SV Health Investors, LLC. The investment will further the momentum of commercial partnerships that include regional and national health plans, including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealth Group Optum, Beacon Health Options, Highmark Health, and Magellan Health.

The Ria program is delivered through telehealth and by a care team of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Coaches with clinical expertise to manage care and outcomes for Ria Health members.
WORK AT RIA HEALTH AS A STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Our healthcare technology company is seeking a Staff Accountant. This individual will play a critical role in supporting our CFO and ensuring the smooth execution of financial operations across departments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a background in accounting or finance, and a passion for contributing to a mission-driven organization focused on transforming the way alcohol use disorder is treated through telehealth.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Finance
Prepare monthly flash report for review with CFO
Work with accounting to update them on any new hires/consultants and what general ledger classification they should be
Provide accounting with monthly reports so they may complete the monthly financial close (e.g. revenue reconciliation, AR activity, AR aging, bank statements)
Treasury
Sweep cash from PC to Tech account
Ensure recurring transfers from investment account to operating account cover upcoming expenses (e.g. payroll)
Monitor interest income in investment account
Support CFO in identifying investing strategies
Accounts Payable
Perform a quarterly review of expenses paid through Ramp and Bill.com to ensure vendors are actively in use and payment limits are accurate
Manage invoicing to ensure all invoices are properly sent to accounting and logged in Bill.com on a monthly basis
Approve monthly and quarterly enrollment incentives
Approve monthly coaching incentives
Accounts Receivable
Conduct billing-related analysis to ensure the accuracy of billing processes
Work with accounting to monitor the uncollectable allowance and make recommendations to the CFO for any changes
Inventory
Work with accounting to ensure proper recording of inventory assets
Work with Clinical Operations to forecast inventory needs
Work with vendors to ensure a cost efficient supply of breathalyzers and welcome packets
Management Fee
Annual evaluation of the management fee between companies and forecasting according to the next year’s budget
Coordinate the annual amendment of the MSO fee with legal
Grants
Set up grant subcontractors and contractors to be paid and ensure proper classification on the general ledger
Coordinate with research assistant and accountant to draw down or send out the invoice for grant funding in accordance with policies
Audit & Tax
Manage the collection of audit requests from Auditors and participate in audit meetings
Provide information to support data requests from Auditors for Ria financial audit, Ria Tax and for Ria’s investor’s financial audit
Sales & Use Tax
Manage the project with outside tax consultants to evaluate Ria’s sales & use tax obligations
Work cross functionally to set up a process for sales & use tax collection and payments to states, as applicable
Corporate Registration
Review the tracking of corporate registrations by company in each state
Manage accounting’s work on corporate registrations
Cap Table
Ensure the cap table is current in Carta
Manage 409a valuations and approvals
Provide cap table reporting to investors
Board Meetings
Assist the CFO in board meeting preparation by maintaining the financial reporting templates and creating board slides
Financial Operations Management
Assist the CFO by coordinating meetings with psychosocial and clinic leaders, human resources and finance to evaluate monthly reviews of staffing actuals vs budgeted to identify trends in hiring needs and to identify areas to improve the staffing model.
Payor and Contract Management
Maintain a summary of payor contracts, ensuring operationalization of new coverage terms and fee changes across business units.
Real Estate and Insurance
Track real estate leases and maintain accurate records
Manage the annual insurance renewal process, including updating application forms and ensuring the proper limits are obtained at a reasonable price (e.g. Malpractice, General Liability, Cyber, D&O, facility lease insurance)
Additional Support
Perform other duties as required to support the organization’s goals and objectives.

Agree to work within the policies and procedures of Ria Health, including the Information Security, Acceptable Use, Remote Work/Teleworking, and the Monitoring and Recording policies. Violation of company policies may be grounds for discipline, up to and including termination.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental goals and organizational priorities.
Required skills and experience:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
5 years experience
Excel skills
Experience with using accounting systems such as quickbooks, bill.com, Ramp
