About the Role

We are scaling entirely new revenue streams within ablefy’s fast-moving AI Incubator team. Envision this as an authentic startup environment within a larger, established scale-up. This is a small, empowered, and business-focused unit dedicated to taking products from concept (zero) to launch (one) at the intersection of AI and commerce.

As our Staff Engineer, you will be the primary hands-on builder and technical owner for our most ambitious greenfield projects. Unlike a traditional "strategy-only" Staff role, this position is deeply embedded in execution (~80% coding). You will not just design the systems but actively build them, leading the development of our next-generation Creator Suite and AI Engine.

You will work side-by-side with senior to mid-level engineers, product manager and designer, making critical architectural decisions while writing production code daily. You are the technical anchor who turns ambitious AI concepts—like conversational learning and automated content repurposing—into scalable, shipping products.

The Tech Stack

• Fullstack: Next.js, tailwind, shadcn
• Infrastructure: Hosted on Vercel & AWS
• AI: LLM integration (OpenAI, Anthropic), Vector Databases

Key Responsibilities

Hands-on Architecture & Delivery (80% Focus)

• Build the Next-Gen Creator Suite: Lead the end-to-end engineering of scalable and competitive products for creators to create and host their content from scratch. You will handle complex features like classic page building, video storage and conditional access.
• Architect for AI-First Experiences: Design and implement the "AI Engine" that powers our products and delivers real customer values.
• Ensure the performance and scalability: Write high-quality, production-ready code for the majority of your day. You are responsible for the stability, performance, and maintainability of the products from your team.

Technical Excellence & Strategic Foresight

• Future-Proof API Design: Design APIs with foresight, ensuring they allow for generic extensions and future use cases without requiring constant refactoring. You build interfaces that can evolve as the product finds its market fit.
• Production-Grade AI Implementation: Go beyond Proofs of Concept (POCs). Utilize LLMs and various AI models to build high-performance, scalable solutions that solve real customer problems.
• AI-Native Leader: Stay ahead of the trend by experimenting with and pushing for new AI tools and processes. You represent the team in major engineering alignments and drive the AI transformation across the company.
• System Health: Ensure that while we move fast, we don't break things. You own the code quality and technical stability of the team’s output.

Mentorship & Team Elevation

• Coach by Doing: Support the 2-3 engineers on your team not just through code reviews, but by pair-programming and hands-on solving the most difficult engineering problems together.
• Foster a Builder Mindset: Instill a culture of "shipping to learn." Help the team balance architectural purity with the pragmatic need to validate hypotheses quickly in a zero-to-one environment.

Who you are
Required Experience & Skills

Technical Expertise:

• Excellent Fullstack Engineer: Deep expertise in our modern stack (Next.js). You are comfortable building complex frontends (page builders) and robust backends (video storage, access control) from scratch.
• Cloud & Deployments: Strong experience with Vercel and AWS. You know how to configure deployments for optimal performance and scale.
• Deep Production AI Experience: Proven track record of building and shipping scalable AI products using LLMs and other models. This is not a hobbyist interest—you have built AI systems that handle real user traffic and solve complex tasks.
• Architectural Authority: You can make critical decisions on system architecture, data modeling, and infrastructure that allow a product to scale from day one.

Leadership & Mindset:

• Entrepreneurial & Zero-to-One Experience: You thrive in greenfield environments. You have built products from the ground up and possess a customer-centric mindset, always connecting technical solutions to user problems.
