Role: Talent & HR Operations Lead

FLSA: Part-Time | Hourly | Remote

Reports to: Executive Leadership


This role is part-time (remote) and requires someone to work set hours Monday-Friday. (Estimated up to 25 hours per week). 


Position Summary

The Talent & HR Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing and executing the full employee lifecycle, from application review through onboarding and training completion. This role ensures that hiring and onboarding processes are efficient, well-documented, compliant, and aligned with organizational growth objectives. The position is highly operational and execution-focused, emphasizing hands-on HR administration, systems management, and process implementation rather than high-level policy development. This role will work under the direction of the HR Director to ensure compliant, legal, and ethical standards are maintained at the HR level. 


This position is operational in nature and does not include responsibility for high-level HR strategy, policy creation, executive-level negotiations, payroll, compensation, or legal determinations. The role is designed to ensure effective execution, system integrity, and day-to-day HR operational excellence. This role can be either full time or part time based on the right candidate, including availability, experience, and qualifications. 


Success Indicators (First 90 Days)

  • Hiring pipelines are organized, accurate, and consistently maintained
  • All applicants receive timely and professional communication
  • Onboarding and training processes function independently of leadership oversight
  • HR documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date
  • Leadership time spent on HR administration is significantly reduced


Core responsibilities include but not limited to:

Talent Acquisition & Hiring Operations

  • Review and screen applications for all open positions
  • Coordinate and conduct initial candidate interviews
  • Manage hiring pipelines and maintain consistent candidate communication
  • Ensure applicants receive timely updates throughout the hiring process
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of hiring decisions

Onboarding & Training Execution

  • Own and manage end-to-end onboarding workflows for new hires
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of all onboarding documentation
  • Coordinate training assignments and track completion status
  • Maintain onboarding and training checklists and records
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees during their first 30–60 days

HR Operations & Compliance Support

  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel documentation
  • Track and support compliance with required trainings and certifications
  • Monitor deadlines related to HR requirements and deliverables
  • Partner with HR leadership on escalations or compliance-related matters
  • Implement HR processes and procedures designed by leadership

Systems & Process Management

  • Administer and maintain HR systems (e.g., BambooHR, ClickUp, Google Workspace)
  • Develop and maintain templates, workflows, and standard operating procedures
  • Track and report on HR KPIs related to hiring, onboarding, and training
  • Identify process gaps and recommend operational improvements

Qualifications

  • Experience in HR operations, talent coordination, or people operations, required. 
  • Strong organizational skills with a high degree of follow-through and attention to detail
  • Comfort working within structured systems, checklists, and deadline-driven environments
  • Clear, professional communication skills with candidates and internal stakeholders
  • Experience supporting hiring and onboarding in a growing organization preferred
