This is an opportunity to drive growth across a portfolio of commercial accounts in Ontario within a fast-moving technology sales environment. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, uncovering business challenges and positioning sophisticated networking and data center solutions. The role combines strategic account management, consultative selling, new business development, and relationship building. You’ll work closely with technical specialists, channel partners, and internal teams to develop compelling solutions and deliver measurable customer value. Success will require a strong understanding of modern networking technologies and the ability to engage stakeholders from technical teams through C-level decision-makers. This is a high-impact role for an experienced sales professional who thrives on ownership, competition, and building long-term customer relationships.

Accountabilities:

  • Own sales performance across a named portfolio of approximately 30–40 commercial accounts throughout Ontario, consistently working to exceed measurable sales targets.
  • Develop and execute consultative sales strategies that address customer needs across hybrid cloud, legacy IT modernization, networking, data center, campus, Wi-Fi, monitoring, detection, and security environments.
  • Build trusted relationships with key influencers, technical stakeholders, decision-makers, and C-level executives, clearly communicating the business value of proposed solutions.
  • Partner with systems engineers and technical resources to design, position, and present solutions that address customer requirements while improving performance and reducing total cost of ownership.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding relationships and revenue within existing accounts.
  • Establish and manage productive relationships with technology partners and channel organizations to generate opportunities and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Create strategic and tactical account plans informed by regular business reviews with prospects and customers.
  • Lead demand-generation activities, including customer events, technology forums, lunch-and-learns, and other initiatives that create engagement and pipeline.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing colleagues to share best practices, coordinate territory initiatives, and strengthen customer engagement.
  • Monitor technology trends, partner offerings, competitive solutions, and market developments to continuously refine sales strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least 5 years of technology sales experience.
  • Demonstrated success selling directly to commercial accounts within a defined territory and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Relevant experience in data center or networking technologies, gained through a technology vendor, competitor, channel partner, or end-user organization.
  • Established relationships and a strong professional network within the Ontario territory, particularly in the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Proven ability to prospect, develop new accounts, expand existing customer relationships, and operate with a strong hunter mentality.
  • Strong technical understanding and sales experience in one or more areas such as networking, SDN, NFV, switching, network automation, routing, data centers, edge computing, network virtualization, hyper-converged infrastructure, or cloud computing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation abilities, combined with the confidence to act as a trusted advisor.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, partners, sales colleagues, and senior customer stakeholders.
  • A proactive, results-oriented, collaborative approach, with integrity, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to customer success.
  • Candidates must reside in the Greater Toronto Area and have experience selling complex networking solutions in the region.

Benefits:

  • Competitive sales compensation aligned with experience and performance.
  • Opportunity to work with sophisticated networking, cloud, data center, campus, automation, and security technologies.
  • Exposure to enterprise and commercial customers and senior business stakeholders across Ontario.
  • Collaborative environment with access to experienced technical, professional services, executive, and sales teams.
  • Opportunity to build and expand a strong professional network within the technology sector.
  • Career growth potential within a high-performance technology sales organization.
  • An inclusive and collaborative culture that values diverse perspectives, teamwork, integrity, respect, and innovation.
