Duties & Responsibilities
- Own and execute all aspects of the monthly accounting close process—including reviewing system-generated entries, preparing manual journal entries, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
- Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Documenting existing, and new accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with IT and other cross-functional teams to drive necessary SAP system modification/enhancement to improve existing accounting operations.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation, addressing audit inquiries, and assisting with the remediation of identified issues.
- Assist in key compliance efforts, including (SOX) requirements and formal Balance Sheet Reviews.
- Providing in-depth analysis on both P/L and Balance sheet accounts
- Supporting other ad-hoc analysis and report requirement
- Identifying new opportunities and driving process and productivity improvements by learning and utilizing the Fortive Business System (FBS)

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–3 years of professional experience in accounting or financial reporting
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems
- Experience preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and audit support
- Ability to analyze P&L and balance sheet accounts
