Financial Accountant - General Ledger (m/f/d)

To support our expanding operations, we are establishing a new centralized BICO Accounting Center, serving 11 business units across Sweden, Germany, and the United States. The center operates in a modern hybrid-virtual model, offering flexibility to work remotely or on-site at local subsidiaries.
To strengthen our international finance team, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Accountant General Ledger (m/f/d), to be based in our Swedish or German locations Gothenburg, Freiburg im Breisgau or Berlin (full remote possible).
Shape the future of financial processes at BICO - together in the Accounting Center!
- Responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in the general ledger
- Preparation and posting of accounting records in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS
- Reconciliation and control of general ledger accounts including balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of accruals and deferrals
- Support in the preparation of financial reports and consolidated financial statements
- Preparation and timely submission of VAT, corporation tax and other tax returns
- Support during tax audits and provision of necessary documentation
- Assisting with the monitoring and implementation of statutory tax changes
- Management and reconciliation of fixed asset accounts
- Ensuring the correct capitalization, depreciation and derecognition of assets
- Reconciliation and execution of intercompany transactions with support from accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Continuously supporting and helping to design process improvements in the BICO Accounting Center to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field, or Certified Accountant, Tax Clerk or equivalent commercial qualification
- First experience in Finance and Accounting in industrial company or tax office
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legal standards local GAAP, IFRS and tax regulations
- Experience with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O modules or other ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS collaboration tools
- English and one of the local languages of our companies on professional level (German or Swedish)
- Analytical and structured approach and good self-organization skills allow you to keep track of multiple tasks and deadlines
- You feel comfortable in an international, multicultural and dynamic environment
