Benefits Consultant - Hybrid. Candidates residing in the greater Seattle/Renton, WA or Los Angeles/Irvine, CA are encouraged to apply.
The Benefits Consultant incumbent will have benefits administration and design knowledge to provide accurate benefit plan explanation, provide customer service to caregivers, HR professionals and managers, and execute administration/plan design functions for a multi-state, multi-line organization. This role supports regulatory benefits compliance activities across health and welfare plans, including supporting compliance filings and disclosures, appeals, maintaining documentation, assisting with audits and updating Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD). The incumbent will participate in benefits projects and assist the Sr. Benefits Consultant and Benefits Manager with implementation of benefits program changes and plan design updates. This position will handle sensitive benefit issues with discretion and confidentiality. The incumbent will be responsible for working with benefits vendors, carriers, brokers and consultants system-wide, in trouble-shooting issues and participating in root cause analysis of issues as part of a high-functioning team.
This role will we expected to work on site at one of our locations a set amount of time each week. The balance of the work week will be spent working remotely.
