Two of our fantastic brands, The Australian Animal & Wildlife School and The Australian Photography School, are among the leading online providers in their fields. We teach thousands of students in areas ranging from animal care, wildlife conservation and dog grooming through to portrait, landscape and wildlife photography, helping them turn their passion into a career or side hustle.

Both schools are growing, and we have multiple placements available across the two campaigns. So if you've worked around animals, out in wildlife, or behind a camera, and you're confident talking to people, we'd love to hear from you. You'll be placed with the school that best matches your background and passion.

Duties & Responsibilities

Every day, students across Australia enquire through our website wanting to learn about animals, wildlife, or photography. They've already shown interest and requested information, your role is to call them, understand their goals, build rapport, and guide them towards the right course for their needs.

This is a phone-based sales role, but it's very relationship driven. The people who do well here are warm, engaging, confident communicators who know how to connect naturally with customers while also being comfortable asking for the sale.

You'll be:

  • Calling warm leads who have already enquired
  • Learning about students' goals and interests
  • Recommending suitable courses in your school's field
  • Guiding students through the enrolment process
  • Working towards sales targets and KPIs
  • Building confidence through ongoing coaching and training

 

No cold calling involved, every person you speak to has already expressed interest.

Desired Experience & Qualification

We're hiring across both schools, so a background in either field is a great start.

If you're drawn to our Animal & Wildlife School, some of our best Course Consultants have backgrounds such as:

  • Veterinary receptionists or veterinary assistants
  • Pet store staff (Absolute Pets, Petshop Science, Pet Heaven)
  • Animal shelter or SPCA staff and volunteers
  • Dog groomers, kennel, cattery, or doggy daycare staff
  • Game reserve, safari lodge, or field guide backgrounds

 

If you're drawn to our Photography School, some of our best Course Consultants have backgrounds such as:

  • Camera and photography retail (Orms, Outdoor Photo, Cameraland)
  • Studio or photographer's assistants
  • Wedding, event, or portrait photographers
  • Content creators, social media photographers, and videographers
  • Photo lab or printing staff

 

And whichever field you come from, customer service, telesales, or retail sales experience is always welcome.

What matters most is:

  • A genuine passion for your field, whether that's animals and wildlife or photography
  • A warm, energetic, and engaging personality
  • Confidence speaking with people on the phone
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Reliability, organisation, and consistency
  • A competitive nature and motivation to hit targets

 

Sales experience is a bonus, even basic sales or retail experience is highly valued, but we can teach the sales process. What's harder to teach is personality, energy, and the ability to genuinely connect with people.

Package & Remuneration

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. Top performers earn well into six figures (ZAR) annually.

  • R26,000 per month base salary
  • Uncapped commissions (average additional earnings of R10,000–R12,000 per month)
  • Comfortable annual earnings of R350,000–R450,000
