United Digestive’s Director of Marketing Strategy & Customer Engagement is a strategic and innovative marketing leader with a strong foundation in healthcare and Account-Based Marketing who will leverage both creativity and analytic insight to drive measurable business impact. This role is responsible for setting the creative direction of the brand, overseeing all internal and external communications, and leading the Marketing Support Center. The ideal candidate excels at driving innovative marketing solutions, leveraging marketing technology, and leading cross-functional teams toward excellence, operational optimization, and profitability.
JOB TITLE: Director of Marketing Strategy & Customer Engagement
REPORTS TO: Chief Growth Officer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provider Marketing & ABM
- Design and execute Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies to engage referring physicians and healthcare professionals (HCPs).
- Partner with field teams to identify target segments and develop tailored content that drives referrals and builds brand trust.
Patient Acquisition & Digital Marketing
- Develop and optimize digital marketing campaigns to drive patient acquisition and service line growth.
- Oversee paid media strategy, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and conversion optimization.
- Use data to continuously test, refine, and scale campaigns based on performance.
Brand & Creative Direction
- Own and evolve the brand identity, voice, and positioning across all touchpoints.
- Lead concept development for creative campaigns, patient education materials, and brand storytelling efforts.
- Ensure brand consistency across internal initiatives, patient experiences, and market-facing assets.
Internal Communications & Marketing Support
- Lead all internal communications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering employee engagement.
- Oversee the Marketing Support Center, serving as a responsive partner to HR, operations, and clinical departments.
- Provide strategic marketing counsel and execution support to cross-functional teams.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage a multidisciplinary team of marketers, designers, and writers.
- Partner closely with clinical, IT, operations, and business development teams to align marketing with enterprise priorities.
- Report on KPIs to executive leadership, ensuring visibility into marketing ROI and growth impact.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
• 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including brand management, digital strategy, and communications.
• Proven track record in patient acquisition, preferably in healthcare or service industries.
• Experience with ABM platforms, CRM systems, and performance analytics tools.
• Strong creative sensibility with the ability to translate business objectives into compelling campaigns.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
