Job Description:

Enterprise Sales Account Manager  

 

The Enterprise Sales Account Manager for our Energy team is an outside sales opportunity with assigned accounts across US territory. This position will cover the energy supplier and wholesaler market selling the entire DTN solution suite to assigned customers. You will also work closely with the existing sales team and build on their experience.   

What you will be responsible for:  

  • Contacting large Refined Fuels Suppliers or Wholesalers to promote DTN’s suite of information services and solutions. 

  • Customer responsive and service focused will develop and maintain new accounts and existing customer relationships. Will spend 70% of time on solution upsells to existing clients. 

  • Use a consultative sales approach to understand the needs of the energy prospect or customer to demonstrate the value of DTN solutions, insights, and services. 

  • Engaging communication with active listening and problem solving for customers to understand their unmet needs and how DTN solutions may be of benefit and serve those needs. 

  • Manage a pipeline of new business as well as increase spend on existing customers. 

  • Identify and communicate sales opportunities through use of CRM system. 

  • Visiting prospective clients and existing customers in the assigned territory with approximate travel at 40% rate within assigned territory 

 

What you will bring to the role:  

  • 8+ years of sales and territory management experience. 

  • Software and Information as a Service sales experience is . 

  • Must be assertive, self-motivated and able to work under pressure. 

  • Demonstrated strengths in relationship building, problem solving, and solutions selling. 

  • Self-starter with a proven track record of delivering sales results. 

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.  

  • Ability to design, present and solution proposals using Microsoft Power Point, and demonstrate products in person or via Web Meeting. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple concurrent projects. 

  • Knowledge of the energy industry is preferred.

• Sells the company’s products/services directly to end-users to achieve/exceed significant sales objectives for assigned accounts and prospects.
• Understands strategic direction of customers to grow existing accounts and develops sales strategy to meet long-term customer needs.
• Develops strong relationships with key buyers and decision-makers and maintains executive level relationships with accounts.
• Manages local pipeline and forecast for accounts and proactively identifies trends.
• Drives collaboration with internal resources to identify market penetration potential and maximize opportunities.
• Assists with customer retention.
