We are seeking an energetic and technically skilled Outside Sales Representative (Field Sales Engineer) to join our team in Central Florida. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and supporting our partners with expert product knowledge and application guidance.

This position is remote, but candidates must live in Central Florida and be able to travel 50–75% throughout the region.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed individual sales goals within your assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute a regional sales plan aligned with company objectives.
  • Generate and qualify leads through networking, industry events, and direct outreach.
  • Conduct site surveys and provide comprehensive reports and recommendations.
  • Deliver dynamic presentations and product demonstrations to end users, integrators, engineers, and distributors.
  • Maintain detailed customer interactions and pipeline updates using Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
  • Represent DITEK at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, marketing, customer service) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in outside or technical sales, preferably in the electrical or security industry.
  • Proven success managing a sales territory and driving revenue growth.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable learning new systems quickly.
  • Ability to quickly learn and articulate product features, benefits, and technical applications.
  • Experience using CRM systems; Salesforce preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
