DescriptionThe HR Coordinator is responsible for executing and monitoring operational human resources routines, ensuring compliance with Brazilian labor legislation (CLT), social security obligations, and internal policies. The role requires technical knowledge of HR processes, payroll routines, and labor compliance, with limited decision-making authority and reporting to senior leadership.
Legal and Structural Considerations
- The position is non-executive and subject to working hour control.
- The employee will not have autonomous powers to bind the organization legally.
- The role does not qualify for the “cargo de confiança” exception under Art. 62 CLT.
- Overtime, if applicable, will be compensated according to law or collective bargaining agreement.

Location: Remote - São Paulo, Brazil
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (6x2)
Responsibilities1. Recruitment and Hiring (CLT Framework)
- Support recruitment and selection processes in coordination with management.
- Prepare employment documentation in compliance with CLT requirements.
- Collect mandatory employee documentation (CTPS digital, personal documents, etc.).
- Coordinate pre-employment medical examinations (ASO – NR-7 compliance).
- Ensure proper registration in eSocial and payroll systems within legal deadlines.
- Manage onboarding procedures and contract execution.
2. Payroll and Labor Obligations
- Prepare payroll input (salary, overtime, absences, variable compensation).
- Ensure compliance with FGTS, INSS, IRRF, férias, 13º salário, and other statutory obligations.
- Monitor vacation accrual periods and ensure timely vacation payments (including 1/3 constitutional bonus).
- Support termination procedures (TRCT calculation, notice period, FGTS fine, etc.).
- Interface with accounting and payroll providers to ensure legal compliance.
3. Timekeeping and Working Hours Control
- Monitor time and attendance records in accordance with Art. 74 CLT.
- Ensure proper tracking of overtime, rest periods, and weekly paid rest (DSR).
- Address timekeeping inconsistencies and maintain compliance documentation.
4. Labor Compliance and Risk Mitigation
- Maintain updated employee files in accordance with LGPD and labor requirements.
- Support compliance with applicable Normas Regulamentadoras (NRs), when applicable.
- Implement guidance from external labor counsel to mitigate litigation risks.
- Assist in responding to labor inspections or labor claims, as needed.
5. Benefits Administration
- Administer mandatory and optional benefits (vale-transporte, vale-refeição/alimentação, health insurance, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements (if applicable).
- Liaise with benefits providers and monitor contractual compliance.
6. Employee Support and Organizational Culture
- Provide guidance to employees regarding HR policies and labor rights.
- Support internal communication and training initiatives.
- Promote alignment with organizational values and standards of conduct.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Law, Accounting, or related field.
- Postgraduate studies in Labor Law, HR Management, or related areas are a plus.
Experience
- Proven experience in HR routines under CLT.
- Practical knowledge of payroll processing and eSocial obligations.
- Experience in managing labor compliance and documentation.
Language Requirements
- Fluent Portuguese (mandatory).
- Good command of English (written and spoken) is a plus.
Technical Knowledge
- Solid understanding of CLT, FGTS, INSS, férias, 13º salário, and termination calculations.
- Familiarity with eSocial and payroll systems.
- Knowledge of LGPD principles applicable to employee data.
