Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented MBA Summer Associate – Finance for Summer 2026 to work remotely in the Chicago, IL area!    
 
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their "waste" into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods. 
 
We are seeking a highly motivated MBA Finance Intern to support our Finance teams, with a strong emphasis on Corporate Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis. This role provides hands-on experience in financial modeling, market mapping, and strategic analysis to help drive investment decisions and business growth. The intern will gain exposure to project evaluation, investment due diligence, cross-functional collaboration, and corporate strategy, while contributing to real-world transactions and sustainability-focused initiatives. Although this position is remote, you will have several opportunities to meet with the team in person throughout the summer. 
 
Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:  

  • Build, refine and maintain financial models for projects and corporate finance initiatives
  • Support investment due diligence, project assessment, and transaction execution
  • Analyze commercial structures, project revenue drivers, and market dynamics
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, legal, accounting, tax, and commercial teams
  • Contribute to strategic work around investment tax credits and capital structuring as it relates to project opportunities and the corporate balance sheet
  • Prepare presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with mapping and assessing market opportunities to identify growth areas
  • Maintain reliable attendance, arriving on time and ready to contribute
  • Take ownership of additional duties as needed to support Company goals
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE  

  • Currently pursuing an MBA
  • 6+ years of related experience prior to pursuing an MBA
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics preferred
  • Strong interest in corporate finance, corporate strategy, and financial analysis 
  • Prior experience in investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance is a plus 
  • Passion for sustainability and impact-driven work 
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel-based modeling 
  • Self-starter with curiosity, strong work ethic, and a willingness to take initiative 
  • Coachable, adaptable, and collaborative team player 
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED 
  • Must have effective verbal, reading, and written communication skills in the English language 

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

  • Compensation for this role is between $38 - $58 hourly 
  • Additional pay may apply for off-shift hours, off-site work, or special assignments
  • This role may qualify for a discretionary bonus, recognizing outstanding contributions to team and company success
  • This role requires less than 20% travel  
  • In compliance with state and local pay transparency laws, the expected compensation for this role is shared above. The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role and the final offer will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location. Compensation may be adjusted within this range to reflect regional cost-of-living differences in states where Sedron is hiring.
