Pay is based on location, experience, and qualifications etc.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Review and respond to routine legal inquiries with the supervision and guidance of the General Counsel, other Legal Department colleagues and outside counsel.
  2. Function as a primary point of contact for the legal department for managed properties & third-party vendors.
  3. Oversee formation and maintenance of legal entities.
  4. Oversee application for and maintenance of property level licenses and permits.
  5. Assist with contract preparation, review, and management for various hotel-related agreements, including vendor contracts, leases, licenses and service agreements.
  6. Maintain and organize legal files, records, and databases.
  7. Become an expert in and oversee the legal department’s use of its matter management and e-billing software.
  8. Update and maintain claims and litigation status summaries.

 

 

Next Level Duties:

  1. Conduct legal research on topics such as hospitality law, employment law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
  2. Develop institutional knowledge and awareness and establish strong professional relationships with colleagues across the Portfolio to gather information and facilitate legal processes.
  3. Provide general administrative support to the legal team, such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
  4. Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the hotel industry and update relevant stakeholders as needed.

 

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or related field preferred.
  2. Familiarity with contract management systems & document automation is a plus.
  3. Ability to travel occasionally to assist with training, due diligence, transitions, etc.
