How you will contribute:
• Learn and understand Truven’s products, business model, strategy, culture, etc. to develop a solid understanding of the business and support its revenue goals through contracting activities.
• Initiate, review, and redline standard transactional contracts including, but not limited to, nondisclosure agreements, statements of work, teaming agreements and amendments.
• Support Truven by efficiently managing standard contracts.
• Provide assistance and support in competitive bid efforts through the evaluation of RFIs and RFPs, tracking of issues and providing support to bid response in alignment with the company’s guidelines.
• Analyze contract terms and conditions, evaluate prior terms and conditions, determine the need for contract amendments or renewals, and make revisions within guidelines,utilizing contract playbooks and feedback from subject matter experts.
• Develop strong business relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure an effective,efficient and beneficial contracting experience.
• Manage contract playbooks, templates, processes and clause libraries and participate in key meetings and training to improve enterprise contracting processes and drive overall compliance with Truven contracting policies and procedures.
• Develop a deep understanding of existing contract management systems and assist in the implementation of improvements and new technologies.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, requested, and/or assigned.
About You
What you will bring:
• Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of relevant paralegal experience, with at least some in house legal experience
• Proven working experience drafting, reviewing and managing contracts
• Extensive computer and database expertise
• Practical, business-driven problem solver with ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptionally detail oriented, possess a sense of urgency, and produces high-quality work with minimal supervision
• An unwavering commitment to customer service for both internal and external clients.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, reliable and flexible manner.
• Extensive computer and database expertise including Office365, CRM and CLM tools
What we would love to see:
• Experience in some combination of the following industries: healthcare technology, technology software & services or healthcare.
• Experience working with government contracts and procurement processes
• Experience working with data privacy issues and agreements
