Every smart real estate firm needs a numbers expert, someone who doesn’t just report performance but drives it.

We’re hiring a financially sharp, detail-obsessed Real Estate Financial Analyst / Controller to take ownership of the financial performance of a growing commercial real estate portfolio.

In this role, you’ll turn numbers into insights, guiding investment decisions, improving returns, and helping leadership make confident moves. You’ll work directly with the firm’s principal on acquisitions, performance tracking, and long-term strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Master the Numbers: Review and analyze P&L statements, ensuring accurate budget vs. actual tracking.
  • Own Financial Reporting: Oversee cash management, forecasting, and reporting accuracy across assets.
  • Model the Future: Build and maintain dynamic cash flow models for both active and prospective investments.
  • Spot Opportunities: Perform NOI and cash flow analysis to find ways to increase returns and minimize costs.
  • Support Acquisitions: Conduct deal analysis and due diligence to back smart buying decisions.
  • Review Leases: Identify rent escalation potential, upside opportunities, and new revenue paths.
  • Understand Complex Structures: Manage waterfall models, profit-sharing frameworks, and investor distributions.
  • Guide Strategy: Deliver clear, data-driven reports and portfolio insights that influence executive decisions.
  • Handle Special Projects: Lead ad hoc financial work, from Excel-based forecasting to QuickBooks entries and reconciliations.




Requirements

What You Bring

  • 2–5 years of experience in real estate financial analysis, asset management, or controller roles.
  • Expert-level Excel financial modeling skills, you’re fluent in formulas, models, and accuracy.
  • Experience with Argus, MRI, or Yardi (preferred).
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks (a plus).
  • Strong background in commercial real estate. acquisitions, underwriting, or asset management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting abilities.
  • A self-starter mindset, highly organized, dependable, and effective working remotely.
