Job Summary
Plume is hiring a Regional Lead to build our presence across Asia-Pacific — a region spanning some of the world's most crypto-forward markets (Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan) alongside large, fast-growing emerging markets. You will drive partnerships with regional exchanges, asset managers, and fintechs, and build Plume's brand and regulatory relationships across a highly diverse set of markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute Plume's GTM strategy across priority APAC markets (Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, and emerging markets as prioritized), guided by regulatory readiness and market opportunity.
- Source and close partnerships with regional exchanges, asset managers, custodians, and fintechs interested in tokenized RWAs.
- Engage with regional regulators (e.g., MAS, SFC, FSC) and industry bodies to support compliant expansion across the region.
- Coordinate with global Legal and Compliance on treaty withholding, licensing, and cross-border structuring considerations specific to APAC jurisdictions.
- Represent Plume at major regional conferences and community events; act as primary regional spokesperson.
- Build and nurture regional developer and user communities across key APAC hubs.
- Report on regional pipeline, partnerships, and adoption metrics to global leadership.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of business development or institutional partnerships experience in APAC crypto, fintech, or financial services.
- Fluency in English plus at least one additional regional language (Mandarin, Korean, or Japanese strongly preferred); deep familiarity with the diverse regulatory landscape across APAC.
- Existing network across regional exchanges, asset managers, or regulators.
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals and ability to operate credibly with both crypto-native and traditional institutional counterparties.
- Comfortable managing a large, diverse region independently with significant time zone spread.
Preferred Experience
- Existing relationships with exchanges, asset managers, or family offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, or Japan.
- Prior experience at a crypto exchange, protocol, or fintech leading APAC expansion.
- Familiarity with regional tax/treaty considerations (e.g., Korean withholding, Hong Kong tax residency rules) relevant to structuring cross-border tokenized products.
