Candidate requirements
These are the minimum requirements a candidate must meet to be considered for this role.
- Strong proficiency in Rust with experience in system-level or blockchain-related development.
- Hands-on experience working in the Web3 ecosystem, including smart contract platforms like Solana, Polkadot (Substrate), or Near.
- Deep understanding of blockchain architecture, consensus algorithms, and peer-to-peer networking.
- Experience working with cryptographic libraries and secure code practices.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and modern software development practices.
- Ability to write comprehensive tests and perform code audits.
Job responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, high-performance code in Rust for blockchain-based systems and protocols.
- Develop and maintain smart contracts or blockchain runtimes (e.g., Substrate-based blockchains, Solana programs).
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team including engineers, researchers, and product managers.
- Optimize performance and memory usage for blockchain nodes or protocol-level services.
- Write clean, modular, and well-tested code.
- Audit code and identify potential security vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and protocol design.
- Stay current with Web3 trends and advancements in the Rust ecosystem.
