We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to play a key role on our dynamic Finance team at Wellworks For You. In this multifaceted position, you’ll own the full Accounts Payable process, champion strong internal controls, and ensure accurate, timely balance sheet reconciliations each month. You’ll be hands-on in the month-end close, support year-end audit activities, and help uphold high standards of financial compliance. What will your day look like?

  • Own the Accounts Payable function, including vendor management, receiving/processing invoices, getting necessary approvals and managing credit card expenses utilizing QuickBooks and Bill.com.
  • Accurately research and post cash deposits in QuickBooks.
  • Create and maintain Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Maintain the deferred revenue schedule and reconcile monthly.
  • Maintain and review sales tax filings and set-up, as needed.
  • Track and maintain records for all reimbursable transactions.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, including payroll, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
  • Prepare a weekly cash flow report.
  • Create and manage schedules to track and accrue expenses material to the business.
  • Aid in workpaper preparation for the year-end audit process.
  • Define, execute, and lead process improvement initiatives to achieve lean and efficient workflows.
  • Propose enhancements to the department and organization that will improve operational excellence and automate business processes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

What must you bring to the table?

  •  A four-year degree from an accredited university with a specialization in accounting, preferred.
  • A Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as collaboration skills. 
  • The ability to work efficiently in a team environment and individually. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Bill.com, preferred.
  • The ability to be flexible, engage in change and problem-solve is essential.

What is the work environment?

  • This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
  • This position is a fully remote position, reporting into our home office in Malvern, Pa. Local candidates can have the option of hybrid work in office and remote if desired.
  • Because you will be handling confidential client information, you must work from your designated home office. You cannot work in a public location.
  • Technology, hardware and software, are provided. Employees must provide their own secure internet access.
  • This position's hours will be Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm with occasional work before and after during busy season.

**The salary for this position is $70,0000-$80,000 based on location, experience and skills determined in the interview process. **
