As our Senior Financial Analyst, you will work with finance, operations, and accounting business partners to optimize R1’s Accelerate Suite revenue, which consists of Denials & AR, Complex Claims, Patient Pay & Insurance Discovery, and Phare business lines. Daily, you will be involved in financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis for Accelerate revenue and direct expenses. The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with R1’s finance & operational leaders to provide the financial visibility to drive strategic business decisions. You will be key in supporting customer growth, cost efficiency, measuring company performance, and understanding the revenue and margin implications of strategic actions.

To thrive in this role, you will look for ways to improve current business processes through automation and standardization, and you will develop and provide recommendations on team staffing levels based on analysis of operational productivity metrics while utilizing your prior Finance experience, your Excel financial modeling skills, and your ability to create PowerPoint presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the monthly close & forecasting process for Accelerate financials; validate and analyze results while identifying key risks and opportunities
  • Opportunity to lead many internal / external stakeholder discussions and support supervisor in leading most discussions with executive leadership, difficult commercial discussions / proposals
  • Support the annual budget and quarterly re-forecast processes, with opportunity to own full P&L of one or several Accelerate business lines
  • Collaborate with accounting teams and other business partners at all levels of the organization in the analysis of financial performance
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to leadership to help articulate business performance and trends
  • Develop process solutions through automation, standardization, and innovation

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or equivalent experience in a finance role
  • A minimum of 2 years of Finance experience is required
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including prior experience with modeling, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including creating PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights and Power BI reporting is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and decision-making abilities
  • Effective communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment with competing deadlines
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a moderate degree of autonomy

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $66,185.60 - $114,114.48 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
