What You'll Do

Revenue Recognition & Compliance

  • Ensure the revenue recognition is in compliance with ASC 606 and US GAAP
  • Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue schedules (e.g., ARR, MRR)
  • Review customer contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment
  • Support commission accounting under ASC 340-40

Month-End Close & Audit Readiness

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Help compile revenue data and documentation for audits and internal reviews
  • Support the preparation of technical accounting memos and internal controls documentation

Billing & Operational Support

  • Ensure accurate invoicing and revenue timing align with billing and collections
  • Support multi-entity operations across currencies and time zones
  • Assist in automation initiatives and ERP data improvements

Growth & Process Improvement

  • Participate in cross-functional projects to streamline revenue workflows
  • Learn tools such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara, and Maxio
  • Contribute to process documentation and help build scalable procedures

Qualifications

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in SaaS or tech environments
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
  • Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.)
  • Proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a distributed team

Nice-to-Haves

  • Exposure to multi-element SaaS contracts or usage-based models
  • Experience with ERP or billing systems like NetSuite, Intacct, Salesforce, Avalara, or Zuora
  • CPA or CPA candidate (or intent to pursue)
  • Previous experience in a high-growth or PE-backed environment

Compensation

Compensation will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience, specialized skills, internal alignment and a candidate’s home base. Depending on the position offered, other forms of compensation in addition to base pay may be provided as part of a total compensation package, including eligibility to participate in a bonus plan.
