RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Senior Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
  • Conduct the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and acceptable company accounting practices and procedures. This includes preparing and recording monthly journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and submitting general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Prepares assigned monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner. Research reconciling items and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Review and analyze the Corporate P&L, including monthly accruals and reclass adjustments, as well as variance analysis related to trends.
  • Reconciles Company bank accounts on a regular basis.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Balance sheet and P&L accounts you are responsible for and provide summarized balances and reports on any issues to management.
  • Support accounting processes involving multicurrency transactions, ensuring accurate conversion, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Assist the Assistant Controller during the annual external financial statement audit by providing necessary account information and documents. Gather the required account information and documents for the audit.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L analytics.
  • Experience with multicurrency accounting and foreign exchange transactions.
  • Accounting operations experience
  • CPA or CPA Candidate preferred.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail, demonstrating a sense of urgency in task completion while maintaining thoroughness.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to contribute to a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $95,000
